The first one is one I think I forgot to post here.
I forgot the weight, since its on its way home!


And this is the latest, a 1.23 cts red-green sunstone. Very difficult to photograph, but very cool!
 

where is origin of sunstone? Oregon? Beautiful pieces, again!

Mama, yes. I don't recall where JLeonhardy got his from, I cut the first one for him. But it was also Oregon.
The other one was from Plush, Oregon.

All the rough I sent to you, Willie, came from around the campground in the pubic area near Plush, Oregon. SO gotta get back there before the rains start!

Take a cooler of fresh veggies in to the folks at Dust Devil or Spectrum mines, Woot, and they'll they'll usually trade you a generous amount of digging time for them. The nearest supermarket for them is some 70 miles.

Wow! I have always wanted to dig there. Maybe when I go see my family in E.WA. It is such a spectacular stone.
