I don't know what it is yet or what date...i'm going home to clean this....cut the hunt short I'm so pumped. Will post better pics when I know what it is.

Edit

So this is my oldest coin and first capped bust.

Got home and cleaned it up. 1827 capped bust! All I can say is wow. I was leaving the spot and hit it next to a nail. It was getting way to hot out, I was pouring sweat after 10 or 15 minutes and decided to call it quits. I'm glad I swung on my way out of the woods.

Will be going back for sure! Thanks for checking this out! GL & HH!!!!

thanks for the better pics, totally awesome coin. not having one myself, I just wanted a better view just in case i somehow manage to find one myself. Stokesville for sure!
You're Welcome, when you do, if your like me you'll blurt out something profane. It was so dirty I thought it was an Indian head when I saw the left facing head and liberty...tiny rub and it wasn't copper then I left. Haha

Great coin but it will most likely come back details from the graders... Know that before you spend $ getting it graded

I'd guess it's XF details

I can't get a good pic because it's so tarnished. The top of the obverse is worn, maybe I'll post one while shining light across it. Even some of the stars still have the lines going to the center of it.

Great coin find! Congrats. I know how that old silver turns on the adrenaline machine!

So worked better with the light coming from the side.
