PHILIPPINE LIFE AFTER THE STORM. UPTOWN TO DOWNTOWN CEBU CITY. CLEANUP AND RECOVERY

Amazing Philippines

Philippine life goes on but had a major disruption with super typhoon Odette, international name Rai, on December 16-17, 2021. Typhoon Odette did major damage across the central areas including NE Mindanao, Visayas, and part of Luzon. Wind of more than 200 km per hour destroyed homes and businesses in its path as well as infrastructures like roads, bridges, electricity, water, and the internet. Filipinos are survivors, family and community-oriented, and work together to help one another during these common calamities. Electric, water, shelter, food, and communication were destroyed in most of these areas and 3 weeks later there are still many areas lacking reliable services.
