What time period would this knife be from?
 
in its day if it was used as a knife i think it could do some quick work like skinning a buffalo or elk

since it is so beautiful would it still have been used like that or are some of these better pieces ceremonial?............i always wonder about that kind of thing

i wish i could find something like that someday
