tips for the surf... where to begin?

location...
1. look for people - more people = more dropped goodies
2. dry sand typically doesn't produce as well as ...
3. THE WATER - hit from the surf line to around chest high. If the beach you're on has women with small kids, stay near the surf line. cold water and rings DO NOT mix

techniques....
1. become a charter member and search this forum
2. go practice

there is a plethora of information, here and elsewhere on how to actually recover items. ask away, and i'm sure we'll keep chiming in
