Need some help IDing this marker. Is it Fed, State, County or private. Tried looking but just too tired tonight. Long hike searching for new ground today. TIA.

RLS means Registered Land Survey. The number points back to a dusty file somewhere. If you are lucky it has been microfiched and is available online. The ownership of your spot may make a difference in where you find the file associated with the number. I would start at the BLM on one of their Master Title Plats...if I were curious enough to get to the end of this puzzle. Unfortunately, this will probably lead to either a dead end or something extremely unremarkable.
