Found this today and too suspicious to throw back. Any input? I usually say ?if you have to question it, it isn?t anything.? 95A95335-10B7-470E-84FC-4899E4EEC221.webpC1753BA6-6055-46EB-94B4-95D0A2C3A99A.webpC1753BA6-6055-46EB-94B4-95D0A2C3A99A.webp

Those flake removals look pretty good from your pics.

Is that a creek find? If so, the flake removal could be from tumbling in fast water. A lot of them seem to end with a hinge.

Yes I considered that but they look like they're spaced out evenly and deliberate IMO. An expedient tool I'd say. We still need to see the other side too.

Definitely need to see the other side, it looks like some kind of tool, possible preform or something that wasn't finished.

I think some of the dings are creek chatter, but there also looks like several deliberate blade removal scars.

That is most likely a preform and if not lost would have made a beautiful Knife or point. Keep it by all means.

I don't know why that rock is suspicious. I didn't do anything questionable in its presence! :laughing7: :occasion14:
