Swinging on Mother's Day
Colleen and I met up for 3.5 hours of hunting today. It was a beautiful day to be out! Before we started I predicted that Colleen would find silver soon, if not today. We started in the area where I found the silver half this week. Well, digging her second signal, she excitedly calls me over to see the rim of a large coin in her plug. We were both big smiles when she pulled out a '43 Walking Liberty half dollar.
You go girl!! I jokingly told her she might as well pack it up because the day would go down hill from there.
Having only been detecting for a month, I believe Colleen is hooked for life.
I ended up with some clad, a St. Christopher medallion, a cool Harley Davidson pin, and pulled a '42 Merc in the final moments. I also dug a Pfeiffer beer can (copyright 1933) and a gas tank cap. Oh yes, and a marble, lead bullet, and an antler shed.
HH and thanks for looking,
