Switching coils made all the difference.

Today turned out to be much better than yesterday.
I switched back to my small coil and boy what a difference it made!
I actually found more wheat pennies than i did modern clad! I also dug less trash as well!

Here is a picture of today's finds.


When i saw the 1909 on this penny i felt my stomach turn!
All i could think was "Please don't let it be an S or VDB!


Thank goodness my prayer was answered!
Not sure how i would handle scratching a key or semi key date coin!

I found two rings today, of which one looks pretty cool!


Also found two buttons. This one has some writing that i can't quite make out.
If you know what it says please let me know.
Update...It says Sanforized Likely a denim snap button from the late 30's or 40's


This is part of a cosmetics compact dating from the late 20's or 30s


And a bug! Not sure what to think about this one.

Any ideas on the bug?

Nice finds. Your "bug" was probably a vintage pin, and there would have been some sort of decorative stone where all of the holes are.
