I had a few days off and the weather was too crappy to dive the ocean so I went dirt diving instead. I went to a few colonial sites plus I did a little Mud Larking on a river just to mix it up a bit.
The first site, had tons of potential but that was it so we headed of to a new site that produced a Victorian penny and a half penny plus a round ball and what use to be a round ball.
The next day I headed to a new site and found the tidal river was so low you could almost walk across it, normally there is 15-20 feet of water in it since they dammed it up. So we did a little mud larking on the forshore as the Brits would say. I found an copper makeup jar lid and an intact and working lantren piece.

The next hunt we had carma on our side. We asked for permission from a farmer and he was happy to grant us 2 fields and he asked us to help him locate a $200 chain he lost last year in another field, of course we said yes. It took about 20 seconds to find it and then we had permission to hunt all his fields. Plus he told us where there were several cellar holes.:icon_thumright:
The first cellar hole we stopped at, the field had high grass all over but we hit it any way I got a target almost right away which turn out to be a George III LC. Then I got another target not a foot away from the coin, which turned out to be a nice large shoe buckle. We looked around a bit longer but soon headed over to the next field that was plowed. This field produced a few flat buttons, a George III 2 pence coin (this coin is massive), and a few other goodies and the find of the day, a cast bronze sword pummel which was my last hole of the day:laughing7:.
I also got half a silver spoon, a broken barrel key and another broken key which may have been for an old tractor.

HH everyone,
ZDD
