Tag Today
Well here is my favorite find of today that I dug in a town on the Ohio River in southern Indiana.
I thought I had finally found a really old dog tag (not army dog tag but actual canine) and
was hoping it was pre-1910 after I dug it. When I got home and washed it off, this is what I
found on this brass tag:
The front reads "Owner known by No 411"
The back reads "Return to McMahan's Detective Agency, Wichita, Kan $1.00 Reward"
Could anyone from Kansas or anyone who knows about detective agencies tell me what
this might be used for
