002.webp003.webpWas hunting a small abandoned house today that probably doesn't date back no further than the 50's,but this is a old area in general. I was hoping to find some 40's 50's silver coins, but with no avail. Then I turned this thing up, and about s.h.i.t myself.I thought I had actually found a Continental Dollar.I noticed the loop on top and thought ,it was applied to the coin at some time in history?I sat down and wet it with water and started getting pumped with the detail that was coming out of it,"Man I was on cloud nine"Had the best feeling for the rest of that hunt then I have had in along time, kind of just wanting to get home and clean it up.Got home feeling like about 20,000 bucks, then after a little cleaning I saw the word copy stamped over the date.I went from happy to bothered real fast,My heart is still sinking just talking about it.The closest I will probably ever come to finding one.I enjoyed the rush while it lasted ,but man what a disappointment:censored:I think I am gonna be sick now.

doh! boy that had to hurt, the rush must have been great!

Thats worse than my 5kg silver bar, from a ship wreck site, turned out to be lead!

Man,I'm feeling sick just thinking about... It took me a while to find the copy stamp before I read your comments. That only means that you will find it. My buddy is always finding good stuff and the more I think about having the same luck, I find it.

I wouldn't have been excited or anything, because stuff like that doesn't get found by me anyway. Too good to be true to begin with.

My friend has the same luck, I find good stuff and he doesn't get close to what I find. we both started detecting 14 months ago. we can go to the same place start swinging and he finds 1 good find for my every 8 finds give or take a bit. I do go more often then he does but still it's kinda weird.
I have an AT-pro he has a fisher f4 or F5

still pretty cool. a lot of things like that were common collectables during the bicentennial

Sorry it turned out to be a copy, but it is still a cool find. I've had a few "Yayy!" Finds that turn out to be a" :censored: " find:tongue3:
