Over the years, I’ve investigated ten of the world’s most intriguing treasure legends. My research combines historical analysis with a practical, open-minded approach: factoring in currents, tides, winds, travel speed, and most importantly, human behavior and motivation.
The conclusions I’ve drawn are grounded in historical context, religious and political nuance, and scientific reasoning. Some of my findings go directly against accepted expert opinions, but I believe that’s where truth often hides.
I’m currently authoring a book that presents these findings in detail, balancing historical narrative with new theories that may just change how we see these mysteries.

IMO, somewhere north of 90% of all treasure legends are frauds. Many were created during the Depression when people were looking for hope. Many more were created in the 1960s and 70s for the paycheck that came with writing a story for the "True West" and "True Treasure" magazines. Certainly the biggies -- Oak Island, Beale, Victorio, LUE, Yamashita, any Confederate gold, anything with the letters 'K', 'G', and 'C' in it, and, of course, our local favorite: Dents Run -- are all almost certainly fables. And many, many more.

Dent's Run didn't bury itself!

I hope you can look into the story about the Cave with the Iron Door in SWOK, Selwyn. I've heard about that one since I was old enough to walk, and I have some doubts, but there have been some 'alleged' sightings. (I've been all over that area and never saw nothin)
