One of these bad boys fell into my lap :)

It's a 5 pin, (a 4 pin would have been even cooler for my Tejon) but it's pretty much NOS.

Have a Bandido 2, Eldorado Umax and a Conquistador Umax to try this guy on... Any advice? :)

Vaquero, Cibola, Tejon, and Lobo have a 4-pin connector. Cortes, DeLeon, and Mojave are 5-pin.

Plug it in and see how it does.

Well, they work on all the 5 pins i have, but curious if people from experience know if one of the above- mentioned models does better with the cleansweep than the other :)

Yes, the Cleansweep will work with any Tesoro detector that has the appropriate socket.
However, for it to perform well, the detector must be tuned to the coil.
(Incidentally, this applies to all Tesoro models where the coil is to be changed.)
This is easiest to do with Tesoro detectors that feature a ground balance control.
With other models, you would have to modify the unit itself—something I do not recommend unless you intend to use the CS with it permanently.

Yes, i hear you on the ground balance. Noticed that the preset ground balanced models all run slightly on the positive side with the cleansweep. I'll give it a shot on the Bandido and Eldorado, which have a manual ground balance knob.

Ok, the Eldorado is the winner here! Bandido 2 isn't as deep as the Eldo Umax to begin with, and with the cleansweep there's not much depth left, whereas the Eldo does also lose some depth, but still acceptable. Surprisingly the Conquistador did great as well, clost to as deep as the Eldo.

that Conquistador result is wild. you keeping the cleansweep on the eldorado full-time or swapping it around?

For now it's mostly on the Eldo, until the Eldo gets sold. Then it goes back on the Conquistador, if I still have that one by then.

Love Tesoro's, but 5 Tesoro's is a bit overkill, so I'm in the process selling off a couple :)

Have:
Tejon,
Silver Sabre 2,
Bandido 2,
Conquistador,
Eldorado Umax,

The Cleansweep does best on the Eldo, closely followed by the Conquistador, and then there's a bit of a gap in performance. After the conquistador the bandido 2 does ok, and last on the list the Silver Sabre. Tejon takes 4 pin coils so I can't test the coil on that one.

The Silver Sabre and Tejon will stay, since the Silver Sabre was my very first detector, and I really like the Tejon.
