Tesoro multi tones?

If you mean to ID the target, not that I know of. They can change the signal from the way the sound ramps up and down, but not anything you can call pitch.

Thanks for the reply. I just found this on the Tesoro site in the manual for the Euro Sabre.

"Before starting, make sure that the DISCRIMINATE LEVEL is turned completely counterclockwise to the MIN position. Push the Iron ID switch all the way to the right into AUDIO. The AUDIO Iron ID has three different tones: a high tone for targets that are above the iron range; a low tone for targets in the iron range; and a high-low or rolling tone is used to identify iron targets with an odd shape or holes."

I was looking for tones in discrim but I could see where this would be helpful with the iron ID.
I don't ever see these come up for sale.

I just saw a Silver Sabre on feebay. $150 buy it now.

Edit: Nevermind, I just checked the manual again and it doesn't have tones. I thought I had seen where it did.

Hay Just Dig,

The Tesoro Euro Sabre is just like the Tesoro Eldorado,
except it has the Iron ID Feature.

The Iron ID is a switch in the place of the frequenct shift
switch on the Eldorado.

The switch has three positions.

One possition is called iron BLANK. It automatically disc out
small iron and even some foil.

Another position is called OFF. It is then just like the Eldorado.

The last position is called AUDIO. In AUDIO you have a low
tone for what was blanked out in the iron BLANK position.
Some responses results in a combination of the normal tone
and the low tone. (rolling tone)

You do not have to turn down the disc if you do not want.
But if you use disc, it can interfere with the normal response
of the ID settings.

Never put too much into what the directions say.

When you learn the machine, the directions are forgotton.
They only served to confuse in the first place. Manufacturers
directions for metal detectors make good fire starters.

Thanks tab, the euro sabre seems tough to find. You'll sell me yours right?.....lol
I just got these today in the mail. I found quickly the bandido sings a nice little song of it's own over different targets. I came across a target in my yard this evening with the bandido, it would drop off between 4 and 5 on the disc but just sounded a little different so I wanted to check it out. My guess was a button, and low and behold it was a button. I think I'll enjoy these. A euro sabre is still on my want list. These will do for now though...lol

that Tesoro Aztec sure is purdy. Beautiful piece of detecting history.

I think the Cortes in Sum mode gives different tones when you move it back and forth a few times across a good target. Anybody know about this?
