I hope your raspa leaks out the bottom. ::)

It hasn't changed much. They opened the last two little rooms on the right side(inside) of the chapel and put some Crockett stuff on display(rifle, vest) and at the back of the chapel they have the doors to the Veramendi Palace on display. It was at those doors that a thirty year old Jim Bowie met a 16 year old girl named Ursula de Veramendi. He was on the way to see her father, the Vice-Governor of Coahuila and Texas. Two years later they were married. The original marriage license says Santiago Buy for James Bowie. The origainal is in the Bexar Archives in Austin(UT), but there is a copy in Spanish and English on a web site called Alamo de Parras. That's about it. The raspas are still cold, the latinas still hot and life goes on here much like before...
p.s. I don't have a camera(real or phone), you can't take pics inside the church and I also don't have a clue on how to post anything, pics or words. Sorry...

Welcome Migrider.....I used to live in the Cove over by the park....Behind the 7-11...if its still there....way back in 84 - 85 when I was stationed at Ft. Hood. Came back in 88 and moved into the next neighborhood over for a few years...

If you were there in the 70 - 90's, you may recognize my signature pic....

I have been in Cove since 73.

The park and 7-11 are still there and the park is filled with lots of trash in he ground.

Last time I was there was about 5 years ago when my son was stationed there...He was on main post with 1st Cav and my wife and I were at West Ft. Hood on the airfield... We went to the park but not past it....We were living there when the DQ was built at the end of the road...
