Texan Roll Call!

Austin/Travis & surrounding counties here. Just got my first MD and going on my first hunt tomorrow. Can't wait to get going!
 

Abilene area (Callahan County) here. Just got my new AT Pro from Fed Ex and got it put together. It seems to be a huge leap forward from my Bounty Hunter Tracker IV I got this Christmas!

Harris and Liberty Counties. I do it all but prefer to hunt Relics.
 

Newbie in Deer Park area.
Wife, daughter and I do mostly beach hunting.
From Bryan Beach to High Island.

I've been trying to research which Texas beaches are ok to hunt, but I haven't been able to find anything specifically. Are certain beaches off limits? Like Galveston West Beach, Surfside, Sergent, etc?

Just wondering if you know since you hunt beaches.

Texas beaches are generally open to detecting. No private property rights between the water and the vegetation line. Only off limits areas are Federal, State, and some County parks. All of the Padre National Seashore is off limits.

Sorry for the late response. Can't access during the week.
Don is spot on. About the only off-limits beach in Galveston would be the State Park.
Surfside, Quintana, Bryan and Sargent are huntable. Sargent is very mineral infested and real noisy hunting. Never had much luck there.
With summer coming the hunting should improve. Especially once the water warms up for the swimmers.
Galveston charges for seawall parking. Once the pavilions open on East and Stewart beach they also charge for beach parking in those areas.
Surfside will start charging again as summer nears.

Harris County, Tomball area.
 

Brazoria County here. Hunt everything in about 50 mile radius including Harris and Galveston...
 

Missouri City here located in Fort Bend County and open to any type of hunts. If you are looking for a detecting buddy just let me know!
 

Was raised in Baytown, Harris County. Live in Pa. now but i like to drop in and see whats going on in Texas.
