Back to the old field where last week I dug the no-date capped bust silver half-dime and two early large cents. Today only found me a 1920 wheatie but I got more relics this time around. A Home Insurance Co. tag #6406, (Home Ins. Incorporated 1853). A decorative pin of some sort and what seems to be a piece of decorative furnature hardware.

First flat button has a eagle on the inside, don't know the maker. 2nd flat button is Standard Colour Treble Gilt, and here's the wheatie.

Dug a flattened thimble, not silver and the only piece of pottery that I found with the maker on it.
. . . and the bucket of "junk".

J. & G. Meakin was an English pottery manufacturing company founded in 1851 and based in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
Can't wait for the farmer to til up the field...
