I was heading down to Oak Island for a week and couldnt find a place to hunt last time. So I contacted a gent I met a few years ago. He told me to hit a teardown site that used to be a confed. hospital. When I got there man it had holes everywhere. Finally got a iffy signal at about 10" so I dug it and it was a wheat about 11" deep. Then I uped my sensitivity to about 20 , turned off my noise filter and started getting those iffy scratchy signals everywhere. Every two or three would be a coin or a button. In all I got about 20 or so pennys (5) wheats a 59 quarter a 51 dime and a 43 walking half, it was about 14" deep,my first. Got one button back that says extra quality and two that have an eagle with a shield w/A on it. The small one says scoville and has four big stars and six little ones. The big one says L.H.& scoville and has 3 stars. Also a dogs tag from Ft. Bragg in 1966. Anyway I guess it pays to ask sometimes, so once again Thanks big time Muddy. RK

Fantastic hunt!

That walker must have been a thrill and a half to pull out!

Congratulations!

Super nice finds. I like the buttons and the half.
