Howdy Folks!
Pipster came over last night and stayed over for Thanksgiving Day festivities.
We woke up sorta late in the day and waited for things to warm up a bit before
heading out on a hunt. By the time we left the house, it was already after 11am.
We hit two locations before my wife called to announce the turkey was ready to
pull out of the oven, so Pipster and me headed back to the homestead for a
dinner that couldn't be beat. Pipster carved the bird, Louise set the table, and
we had a swell feast that was enjoyed by all.
After dinner, we watched some episodes of "Coupling", which is a British comedy
show that is fairly hilarious. However, Pipster lapsed into a turkey induced coma,
and around 4:00pm, I went out to do some more hunting. And I'm glad I did.
When I finished up around 8:00pm; I'd taken 102 coins, 1 gold ring stamped
18k GERBS (whatever on earth that means!!!!), 1 silver bracelet, 1 silver ring,
2 RTD tokens, 1 Casa Bonita token (local restaurant, well known regionally),
2 wrenches, 1 Weebello neckerchief slide, 1 Sac dollar, and a variety of cheapie
kid type jewelry.
My take was:
16 Quarters = $4.00
19 Nickels = $0.95
14 Dimes = $1.40
52 Pennies = $0.52
1 Sac Dollar = $1.00
Total = $7.87
Coin Count = 102 Coins.
Guess I have plenty to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving Day!
Pipster, when I got home, was annoyed that I didn't ask him along.
Then again, it ain't easy asking somebody to come along on a hunt
when they are essentially unconscious!!!
Blessings,
