The BIG BOY'S 6 inches Plus......Postem

There may be a thread for this :dontknow: but I haven't seen it.So I'd like to see all the 6" plus real deal spears/knives/lanceolates. Most of you have seen my two that qualify. For those who have not the large Morrow Mountain was handed down though the family from My Great Grandfather who caught it in a oyster dredge as a young man back late 1800's early 1900's.The other was found by me years ago and given to dad as he loved his native American artifacts.Got it back when he pasted away.He loved going down the river spending countless hours just looking from a boy till he got sick & tought me the tricks of the hobby.:headbang:
Anyway here's a new look at mine that fit this category................
Take Care,
Hope to see some Eye Poppers,
Pete,:hello:

I doubt there be a lot of posts on this thread. The biggest piece I have evr found is 5 5/8ths inches long. Not to many 6 plus inch pieces in my area.

My other one...........

Here it is and I was mistaken. It's only 5 3/8th's inches long and the biggest Flint piece I have ever found. It is a Stanfield made from Kanawha Flint and was actually found in the bottom of someones boot print after a very hard rain. I found this in 1981 I believe.

Very Nice man,& cool to find it in a boot print of all places.Someone wasn't paying much attention it sounds like. But You scored big man Cool.

Thanks Pete. I don't think it was exposed when the person that walked through before me was there. I believe it was under the dirt and they stepped on it and then after the rain all night long it become exposed in their print. This field is very sandy and when you walk through when it's wet you make very deep prints. I knew the guy that hunted there before me and he was an avid hunter and wouldn't have missed that if it would have been showing any at all. He was a little upset though when I told him about finding it in his print. lol

Probably our best artifact. I purchased this from the finder a couple of years ago. One of the top doves found in Illinois in my opinion. From Henry County, Illinois and measures 6-1/4" long. I have others over 6" but I dont have pics handy. This is a start anyway. I witnessed a 6" Nebo Hill come out of the field and remember seeing it laying there from about 40 yards away. My brother-in-law found it, but we have it now anyway.

I'd say this is the largest intact point that I have found. It was found in Sumter County Georgia in a plowed field.

5 1/4"

Not sure how big your hands are (I've got pretty big hands myself) but just guessing in must be in the 5'' plus range & sure is a very nice one you found there GaRebel.
