Swingbot,

Can you make the sheath open at the bottom so the dirt falls through. And can you make the PP holder fit the Minelab Pro Pointer 25 too, or does it already? Have you considered adding a small finds pouch alongside the sheath with a flap covering? That's what I'm looking for.

Thanks,

Jackalope

Hey Jackalope,,, All my sheaths have the opening at the bottom.
I have never made a finds pouch on one, it wouldn't fit on it. But,,
I have made a few with a probe holder on it.

Swingbot,

Well, I was thinking if the Pro Pointer 25 was vertical next to the Digger - side-by-side, then the flat front face of the sheath would a good place for a pouch riveted/sewn (could use the two of the lower existing rivets for the bottom corners and an extra two for the top left/right corners). The pouch would be about ~3" wide x 3.5" deep and come forward about 1". It would just need a carefully designed fold-over flap with either a magnetic closure or snap that wont allow items (silver coins) to fall out.

The other detail that would be helpful is to have the vertical leather loop that holds the pointer be longer lengthwise to protect the pointer, similar to the probe holder setup. It would be a big plus if the leather were stiffer/thicker so the pointer slips easily in. That way the leather doesn't fold and buckle when replacing the pointer.

Sounds possible. You're a great leather worker. I think you could do it.

Thanks Buzz,

Great service and love having the Pointer and Digger on the same sheath.
