Is a litte dreary this morning, but it didn't stop many who show up for the local gathering that takes place every 1st Saturday of the month until November. I see now some clever folks are electrifying VW bugs, but I just don't get the electric Ford Mustang and it can now be purchased in a 4 door hatchback. Brings back the disturbing memories of when the Ford Thunderbird added 2 more doors to offer a 4 door sedan T-Bird. Some things just don't seem right. 😕 The vehicle I really liked was this 1952 Ford COE or Bullnose, if you prefer to call it, Orange and Black Ford truck. The fella that put it together is 81 years in age and worked many years in aircraft maintenance. He said it started life as a dump truck and he drug it out of a field and paid $500. for it.

Cool little bug.
The guy who owed it said the electric motor is hooked up to the standard VW transaxle and you run through the gears, as you would and old VW. He said it's just like driving any old bug, except quieter and has much more torque. I forgot to ask him the range it gets before needing a charge. I once owed a Karman Ghia. It was a fun little car.
