The coin score I deliberately let go

I went to a political rally Saturday. Was rainy and dreary outside. Inside was hotter than blue blazes. A few people got sick from the heat. I left a little early, the arthritis got me. As I'm starting to leave, there was about $5 in change and a press pass laying on top of a water fountain in an open area and within 10 feet of a very nice police officer. So I thought "free money" and then thought, what if somebody is coming back for it? So I leave it be and tell the officer there's a press pass and $$$ laying over there, and left. It was a wild night for sure.
