The colors of fall - yellow gold and white gold
Our leaves are finally starting show some color here, so we thought we would go out and find some colors of our own. Bobbie suggested we go north on Saturday so off we went. We had a nice day out finding quite a bit of clad. Early in the afternoon we changed counties to one of the new ones we checked out in the summer. From the lack of signals we think the school yards are heavily detected. At the second of these, I got a signal in the sand in front of the swings I was detecting around. Scooting the sand with my foot I saw the glint of gold partially exposed. Calling Bobbie over before I picked it up so she could see, I picked up the first gold earring even though small it is solid and has a nice heavy feel. Sweeping back over the area another signal and its match appeared from the sand. This is the first set of matching gold earrings I have ever found. Bobbie found a set of matching gold back in 2005, and matching silver earlier this year but this was a first for me. We spent a couple more hours checking a couple more spots , not finding too much we called it a day and headed home.
We went back out this afternoon after church to one of our regular detecting areas. We spent a nice few hours detecting. We found some more clad and costume jewelry, but mostly what we we found were someone elses foot prints. At the last spot under the slide I got a soft signal and moved the sand out from under it ,looking down I thought oh goody another piece of tinfoil. Picking it up I realized it was not a piece of tinfoil but a 10k white gold pendent with 3 heart shaped, checker board cut, pink sapphires and a small diamond on top. The only other things found there was a nickle and a junk pendent by me and a quarter by Bobbie.
So our totals for the weekend included just under $24.00 in clad the match set of 14k earrings, and the 10k white gold/pink sapphire pendent, my how we do love the colors of fall
. Congrats to all those that got out
