Re: The CTH4 hunt will be held September 3,4 & 5th in Caldwell.
No,I didn't go detect the sidewalks.I've told you about the conditions under which I'm trying to survive here with the addition of a daughter,2 g'kids 3 extra dogs and a cat.Starting with day one,all I have heard is the whirring of my drill and the pounding of a hammer, wanting a 3ft level and various other tools which daughter has asked to use.She has been building?closets, etc, but only after tearing out, demolishing the existing ones.I still can't walk through or hardly find a place to sit.Yesterday she started out the door and said she was going to Sedalia(50mi) to see about getting something for the g'son's bdrm window,I'm still not sure what that could be,as you can't even see the window for the piles of debris.5hrs later she walks back in and says Lowes will deliver a couple of cabinets tomorrow(today),not sure where they can offload them in the garage.A man will be here on Sunday to tear out the old and install.Whoa,I said, what cabinets? She said that she had bought new bathroom vanities w/sinks,48" and 36" for the two bathrooms because what I had was just junk and no place for her to put all her things which she pointed to a huge packing crate blocking one bathroom.I told her to unpack that she would need a storage shed, not a vanity. She said she needed something with drawers and I don't know what all.So I told her 'NO WAY!'.That is not a one day job, water lines have to be rerouted, etc and no one was going to tear anything out at this time.Ok,after doing some measuring and additional looking, she said she would go back to Lowes and cancell for now.Off she went.4hrs later, the g'son came running through the house calling to his sister that'mom' called and said to meet her outside.Heard all of them outside then daughter came in and placed a 50lb bag of some kind of feed on the kitchen floor, only open area.I crawled around the feed and went to the porch.SHE HAD BOUGHT SIX QUINEA newly hatched chicks! We have no coop, she had bought feeders and a large plastic tub and then she took them into the small den.All evening while trying to listen to my news, all I could hear was, peep!peep!,peep! So now 6 chicks have been added to this menagerary. The a/c man is due here shortly again for the third time to find and fix a leak.So anyway, with things so calm and peaceful, thought I would relax this morning right after I put a baby bird back up in it's nest. They are trying to fly a little too early and the mother is upset.
