Re: The CTH4 hunt will be held September 3,4 & 5th in Caldwell.
Oooops, Gypsy woman! Stan and Burdie are the same person! But I have to admit he has had the problems for two people in the last few days. Now I'll preach about smoking. I smoked cigarettes since boot camp in the Air Force over 50 years ago. Why? Because everyone that smoked got a smoke break and those who didn't had to police up the area. So, I started smoking just to get a real break. Smokes were only about a quarter a pack or less back then. I learned to love smoking and my doctor urged me to quit for years but I was beating the odds, it couldn't happen to me as I was a young man and immortal or so I thought. Then from out of nowhere I had a small heart attack caused by an artery being about 98% clogged. My dad and all of his six brothers smoked, were all my similar build that being short and stocky just like me. And they all died of heart disease. Talk about having the odds stacked against me! But I was beating the odds or so I thought. Since my first chest pain, I have had two stents put in my arteries and have been taking 13 pills a day just to stay alive. I have early stage emphesema, high blood pressure and hypertension of the lungs. All my doctors say it's a miracle I didn't drop dead of one or more of these ailments before I got medical attention and quit smoking. They also tell me that most if not all my health problems are directly caused by smoking. But I don't preach like most ex-smokers, I just tell it like it is for me. I don't care if you quit or not, you are a big boy now and can do as you please. I still like to smell smoke from a good pipe or cigar, but cigarette smoke is really offensive to me now where I never noticed it before. And I can smell a smoker just being in the same room with one, where I couldn't smell it at all when I smoked. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Monty
