Mel...I really think you need to pick a better hunting partner...maybe one with a sense of humor...perhaps one who could blend in with our crowd a little bit better...maybe someone who knows how to laugh...just saying....LOL

Darrell was one of a kind. I sure hope he joins us for future T-Net hunts. One night in the gas station we were all cutting up and had a stranger laughing so hard he spilled his soda he was dispensing all over his hand and the floor. He needs his own show.
Seriously though...he is a great guy! I feel lucky to now call him one of my friends. (cue violins)
I mean that bro....your one in a million. Thanks for the laughs.

I just want to thank EVERYONE, That made me feel like it was a big ol' family from the bikering to the laughs and hugs. I did feel like I was home and felt somber about going home. I will be there when and if there is another hunt. I feel God works in ways that we can never explain or begin to understand. I am glad I went and met all the best Claim jumpers in the world!!!! God Bless everyone.

I am thinking we probally need to make a Chisholm Trail Comedy Show...I heard some of the funniest quick witted comebacks in that creek..I cant remember laughing that hard in a long time ...

We're home at last!!! Would of been here sooner, but even though I had shut my computer system down before we left, it was flashing an amber light @ the on/off switch
. Finally had to get a computer technician out yesterday, he had to replace the "power source" and for me to be thinking of purchasing a new tower or whole new computer system. 
Everyone had found some fantastic finds...love em all. I think my biggest thrill was seeing the spittoon that Kurt dug up, if you didn't see it or the "whiskey jug", I'm sure he will post pics for you.
What fun we all had, Anna is still talking about the cow parade and telling everyone how much fun she had and about the lady who had the same name as her mom (April). She even talks of her new friend, Dani.
We even drove through the TX fires, the smoke was very thick we had on emergency flashers so we could be seen.
Burdie sure knows how to put on the hunts, planning them to interact with town events. That was the main reason for bringing Anna with us. I'm looking forward to CTH5 and seeing my family again...miss y'all already.
Found this old timer out at the cow camp and had to get a pic of his FBI badge.

The reason for my posting is my love for this hunt is to, reiterate how much I enjoyed it and can't wait to come back. Being able to hunt a place that was so rich in American History was a true honor not lightly taken. I appreciate what Stan and the others did to put it together. I want to thank the Dealers and Members who Donated prizes and items that were given away. It was truly a great event that most won't have the honor or privilege to attend, and get the chance I was given. I received some very humbling and sickening news this morning. Earlier in this post I kept seeing mentions of a certain hunter(*ss) that had vocally talked down the Hunt and thought wow, didn't everyone have a great time?? So I read the entire CTH post trying to figure out who the *ss was.... Well I found out this morning that the *ss, evidently was me. I nearly puked when I was told that I was the object of everyone's disdain. I really don't know what to say but I am sorry. I care a lot about my word as a man and my integrity as a person, and my friendship with all I meet. I tried to be helpful to the others there, especially the ones who had problems or issues with their machines, and to share with non-hunters the joy of our hobby.Honestly and truthfully I don't know what I said, but if I said it, unfortunately I can't take it back, but I CAN apologize and ask for your forgiveness. I truly do not feel negative about the hunt or the wonderful people there.Again I would like to ask All for forgiveness and be allowed to come back to the Family as it were. I truly did not mean to offend anyone, I had a wonderful time, I love my new Minelab hat and bag, and Garrett items, the finds I made, and the new friends I hopefully made. I was so excited I posted on FB and Twitter how much fun I had. I honestly and truthfully do not know or remember saying anything negative toward or about Stan or his hunt. If I did, again I apologize. I say Stan's hunt, because if he hadn't have done all the work he did, I/we would not be there. I have talked with him this morning I felt terrible about what had apparently happened. I hope that He will still call me friend whether I could come back or not, he means a lot to me. I humbly await all of yours decision as a whole, because its not worth coming just to hunt if I have caused strife. Friendship is the true measure of a man's worth, not what he digs out of the ground.I want to apologize to Bigfootokie for any negativity he gets for bringing me. He is a great friend and a man of impeccable integrity. I forgot I still had pics I had taken and sent some to gunsmoke. I really liked winning the lesche digger since I was so excited to get to the hunt I left my shovel at home.
I had the best time and I know Mongoose2 enjoyed it as well. My camera is an old Olympus D-370 that I got off e-bay years back hope they are ok.

Actually....Evan.....as far as I can tell.....there is no apology necessary for me. We didn't have any in depth conversations but you were always polite and didn't seem standoff-ish. I say water under the bridge and see ya next year.......
Now Darrell on the other hand what can you say.....he's from Texas, he's a noted claim jumper.......but he still fell right in and kind of grows on ya.....lol. Anyway, that's just my outlook.......and thank you for the information on my CW button.
