Mines an XS and probably in the foot range. I believe it would go deeper on a very large coin and feel that particular circumstance just has not happend. A few years ago we came upon a field with many enfield bullets and was a good test to see the depth because many were on the fringe of just being detectable. Those I was easily getting over a foot, but they do have more mass so I would expect a bit better depth than a coin.
