When I read a cache story and think about it just before I go to bed, I can work on it in my sleep. When I wake up I must "lock it in" right away to retain the info. This process has helped me greatly in the past to locate some small caches. The dream info gives me ideas as to the search process, it doesn't say, here it is. The dream info is usually clear.
Lately I have been having a kind of "foggy" dream, not based on something I read, but random. I have has this dream at least 3 times. All I am able to recall is looking at several maps. They aren't to clear, but it looks like desert areas with some rocks, maybe the base of a mountain. Only one thing is clear in the dream. In the lower left section of the map is the number 75500 which stands out. before it is a foggy letter maybe W or T and after it might be another 0. Maybe nothing, but does this number mean anything to any one? Don't worry, I expect to get shot up on this one, but I had to ask. Frank

Sam, When you stop dreaming, there is no reason to go on! Frankhand print-2_edited-5.webp

Frankn, this is a bit of a reach, but I just had a wild thought. Could you be dreaming about Charlie Wilson Treasure? He buried treasure in "1750" Maybe the desert is the sandy beach and the Mtn. is the knoll? Also I saw a post where you used
maps to check it out----------------Tod R.

Tod, tell us about the "Charlie Wilson Treasure" so we can dream about it.

Lastleg, sure here goes: About five miles above,(North), of Chincoteague Island is Mills Island. It is shaped like a giant
pelican. The South end of this island is the 1st inlet. The North end of the island is the all important 2nd inlet,( Assacokin
Thorofare on the map). The 3rd creek to the Northward is Boxiron Creek. Just West of Boxiron road the creek forks around a woody knoll, almost forming an island. Where else would a pirate bury treasure. Tod R.

Actually, the Charles Wilson treasure is or was buried on Assiteaque Island. I was chased off there by the Ranger. As I remember it was on the 3rd inlet North of Chincoteaque Island. The big problem was the storms had closed all the inlets. I had located a old map showing the inlets, But now it is a National Seashore under the National Park Service. Read this as no detection allowed. The map burned up with my house. Maybe all that research is comming back to haunt me! lol Frank

Frankn, Assateague Island is little more than a sand bar. Would you bury your fortune in a sand bar? Wilson said that at the head of the 3rd creek to the Northward there was a bluff facing the Atlantic Ocean. This can't hardly be Assateague Island because, Assateague Island is IN the Alantic ocean! Wilson never
said the treasure was on Assateague Island; someone just assumed that; and wrongly I think. Anyway Frankn, could I be right about your dream? Tod R.

Tod, possibly, about the dream but you are off on the other. I had a copy of the letter Charles sent to his brother. It said, Ye shall find 10 iron bound chest of gold, silver, and jewels buried at the head of a spring at the 3rd inlet on Assategue island north of Chincoteaque Island. He used the original Indian name of the Island in the letter. It was something like Gigatueque. He said it was the highest point of the island and you could see the sea. The water on the inside of the island is a bay. That island is bigger than you think. it goes all the way up to OC inlet. Frank

Frankn, the copy of the letter that I have is different. Maybe I have the wrong letter. Tod R.

I got my letter about 30 years ago and lost it in a fire 13 years ago. IF it calls the Chincoteaque Island by it's name now used, it is phony. The original letter was written when the Island was called by it's original Indian name.I just quoted the beginning of the letter as I remembered it. It did also mention a woody knoll and that the chests were buried between three trees that formed a triangle. I think they were Cedar, but not sure. Frank

Here is the version I have: "There are 3 creeks lying 100 paces or more North of the second inlet above Chincoteage Island,
Virginia, which is at the southward end of the peninsula. At the head of the 3rd creek to the northward is a bluff facing the
Atlantic Ocean with 3 cedar trees growing on it, each about 1 and 1/3 yards apart. Between the trees I buried in 10 ironbound chests, bars of silver, gold, diamonds, and jewels to the sum of 200,000 pounds. Go to woody knoll and remove the treasure." Frankn; the story fits the ground----------------------Tod R.

Tod, the letter is a phony. Back in Charles time there wasn't one island, but maybe 5 or more in a line. The old land grants are listed from inlet to inlet. It looks like someone saw the original letter and condensed and changed it, probably to match a story they were writing. Tell me this, If the trees are 1 1/3 yards apart, that means you have a 4'x4'x4' triangle, how are you going to bury 10 chests there ? Also, the original letter listed no monetary value on the cache. I gues your'e right Frank. Are you working on any other projects? Tod R.

Perhaps this is some type of remote viewing phenomenon? Generally in that field you are trying to view specific things using specific methodology. So perhaps this is some psychic phenomenon?

Anyway from maps I use it could be an Easting or Northing grid tick off a topo map. If so the letter should be an E or N. But as you said it is a little foggy so an E might be remembered as a W. So I would check out 75500 as an easting and try and cross reference to any leads. Kind of a big area to search and you don't know if the number is UTM or State Plane coordinates:dontknow:

Tod, check out the offer post in the general section. I am going to try to hit it in the spring.

Atlas, That sounds logical, but that is a big area. Frank

Frank, I saw that just yesteray. Sorry about your partner, I was going to sugest 50/50 but
now it dosn't matter-------------good luck with it. Tod

I have intuitive dreams that have come true many times. Although none pertaining to treasure hunting. It sounds like you have the same ability. My suggestion is to work on increasing this ability and you'll be able to see your dream clearly.

What's really strange is I never believed all this paranormal stuff, but I have been thinking lately about past events. I once dreamed about a museum, but didn't think much about it until months later when I went to a museum and it was like I could tell you what was in the next room before I entered it. When my wife was still alive we could almost read each others mine. Every once in a while we would answer a question by the other BEFORE it was ask. It's strange how the mine works. Frank
