Good to see you're back at it and still finding nice artifacts. I see those trees and I don't envy ya man, that's hard digging, great job pulling stuff from there. In your first photo, on the right, what's the circular object?

Looks like the type of rock of some of those is pretty unusual, too. (At least I haven't seen any like that first one.)

had a few hours to dig today, got me a drill and a nice hafted scrapper. also a piece of bone I thought was a tool before I cleaned it up some, not sure if it is or not.
there are 2 pics are of the little round stone from an earlier pic 1320 was asking about. Its just a strange looking stone I keep, after I cleaned it, I think it looks like a cheap 10 for $1 biscuit. I think one morning I'm gonna make those and lay this stone on the plate with em and see who falls for it.
also here are the first 3 frames of what I'm displaying so far from this site, (for Jonzer) Ive got enough to put together another frame when I get the time to do so. Ill post pics of it when I do.

Wow Tree! those are some nice pieces your pullin out of there, you have a real productive site. How many hours do you put in on your site a week? I am going try digging this summer when the crops get to big to walk. I was hoping you could give me some tips on digging . you seem to have digging down with all the artifacts that you find.

Tell em Tree. Location ,location. location. Like any good real estate. Take somewhere on the Cumberland plateau for instance and Tree
Looks like the front of that area was the living room. Question? Are you seeing much sign of manufacture or does it seem to be mostly carried in? With manufacture you are going to have buckets full of flakes like what you see out in a ploughed field. I have a reason for asking that you might enjoy.

thx all, well it depends on each weeks time I have, this week I've got about 6 hours in it so far, but some weeks I don't even get to go there. I started this project around the end of October last year.
Tn_mtns, yes there is flint scraps all over the place, I'm not keeping all that but do have buckets of brokes.

How did you find that dig in the first place? Did you find something on the surface? Or did you just start digging?

well when I walked into the valley and saw the shelters I knew something had to be there. after looking around I then found a point on the surface, then it was all over, I had to start digging.
