The Good, The Bad and the Ugly......

Went out yesterday and discovered that a field we were waiting for(Roman) had been rolled and planted There is only a small part of this field that produces although a couple of random out of the blue finds have come from here..including the Vicky Sovereign and part of a Dragonesque Brooch

The good area has had at one time a building there (not sure of the period) probably a Roman Building, as there is a lot of pottery, the coins that came from this spot yesterday (46) are in very poor condition and mostly smashed because of all the rubble

One coin in particular shows what we commonly refer to as a dipped Silver coin, or Plated at first I thought another Grot, then when I got it home, I realised the coin had almost been split into two I have shown this coin in the first Two Pictures, the pictures also show the differences between the real Bronzes and the poor locally produced coinage, that have little or no detail left what so ever
