Hit the same field that I got the William and Mary coin the other nite. And not 10 feet away from where I dug that coin, I dug a KG. I only took a picture of the front not much left of it on either side. It was a slow hot afternoon. Only dug this coin and another blank mystery copper. But looking forward to getting back there again.

So that's where "smoothy's" come form ;D There's alway's tommorrow :icon_sunny:

That is an extra crispy KG II & the picture of it is very cool !!! 8) 8) Nice one mainer :laughing7:

Must've been a hard day for King George as well. Seems he's falling to pieces over it :laughing7:

Good digs

He probably wont make it long, even in the display case. Just goes to show if I would have rubbed the coin in the field it wouldnt have been able to be ID.

You could treat it but would be more hassel than it's worth. Just find a better one next time out.

Thanks DMAN. Kinda hard to stay cool in all this heat and humidity. Be glad when fall gets here.

I wonder if you could pull the BuckleBoy "glue trick" to save the flake's like he does his pewter :dontknow: Still alot of facial detail really if you look at it.....Try it,what do you have to lose?

I actually have a pewter button I have to do, and was thinking of trying it. Like you said theres nothing to lose.
