Hey guys, ( man, I don't log on for a week and the site changed again, lol) well, the last 2 weeks have been pretty bad for halves, last weeks 24 boxes only yielded 5 40's and 5 90's, this week was a little better with 23 40's and 6 90's from 24 boxes, I found this half with the Texas sticker on it ( kinda far from me to travel) and this foreign peice too. Not enough to keep my doing all the running around I have been to keep up this volume ( especially the 32 box weeks I was doing before), so I have allready backed my orders down again from 24 to 18 boxes a week now, if it doesn't improve or keeps getting worse I'm going to take it down to 14-16 boxes a week for a while, my business is really in full swing right now and I don't have the same time I did over the Winter to go around dumping and picking all these halves. The boxes just aren't what they were a year ago, I would get a decent box 1 in every 3-4, now it seems to be about 1 in every 18-20. So far this year ( if my math is correct) I have searched 334 boxes, from those I have netted 560 40's and 140 90's, my goal this year was to find 1500 40's and 500 90's, I'm not sure I'm going to make it, but we will see. If the boxes start showing some improvement, I will pick up the volume again, but for now, I have other things that need attention. It truly is amazing how this damn hobby can consume your life if you're not careful, you have to bend everything in your life around dumping and picking up every week and it can become too much trying to do so many boxes a week, I can't use bags for a little while till some things clear up so I'm having to reroll everything I'm searching and it is just too much to do right now, when I can go back to using bags again, things will be much easier. Searching and rerolling 24-32 boxes a week has also takin time away from me even getting a few minutes to log in to here and see how everyone else is doing lately, which I miss doing too. The last pic is the 16 boxes I have go around and dump off on Tuesday, that is going to be a looonngg day! and still have to pick up 12 boxes the same day too from 3 banks, not looking foward to it at all.
We got the results back from my brother in laws test, not good, liver cancer, the Dr. gave him 6 months worse case scenario to live if he does nothing, they still have have to go and have another scan done to see if it has spread into any other organs, but we are still just buying time for him, he realizes that there is no cure, just how much more time he can buy with some treatment, if that is even an option. So I am back to working by myself again, which also another reason for slowing down the CRHing.
So I hope you guys are doing good, I'm going to try and check in a little more often, it has just been 1 thing after another here so some nights I'm just too worn out to even log on and just end up falling asleep, 2 kids, my wife, work and searching and dumping is a full week for me right now.
