50% chance of communications interruption due to sun flare activity, I looked it up yesterday after my digital broadcast tv went from its usual poor to almost nothing.

Yeah something is going on, my Dish sat TV has run thru the sat seach mode 4 times this afternoon, and my ATT DSL yahoo was lost for about 2 hours. woooooh wooooooh

This time of year, the sun is lower in the sky to North American . In Fact it passes almost right behind the Satellites providing your signal.

Some set ups with marginal Signal can be blinded by radio waves generated by the Sun it's Self.

Add a bit of Sun Activity and YOU LOOSE!

I don't think it's the sun behind the sats here. The clark belt sits in the west south west here and the sun doesn't cross it untill it goes down here. As for set up. Most of my channels come in near 95 % there are some weaker ones but that is due to sat output. I set it up myself. One of my past careers.

Back when I installed DirectTV we had problems with it come mid November.

That's down here in New Mexico.
