"The most unique privy fitting made by an American IronMunger" 1890

The 2 inch pipe bracket was made by Cambell and Connelly, iron mungers, who came to Australia in 1851 gold rush and set a steel and pipe works in High street < Bendigo in 1854.The fitting was found about 2 years ago but i found some new info last night. j Connelly son born in 1854 become one of the factors in changing a nation for ever.Please read the link below for the full story and the section on Thomas Jefferson

The fitting was made for a down pipe for a over-head cast -iron cistern and has a brass plate fitted

And that has got to be one of the coolest looking pipe clamps I think I have ever seen. These days all you get is a small piece of plastic with two nails sticking through it... ;D
