On the night of September 7th into the 8th, nearly 6.2 billion people, or about 77% of the world’s population, will have a chance to witness a total lunar eclipse, often called a ‘Blood Moon’. During this celestial event, the Moon will glide through Earth’s shadow, taking on a mesmerizing deep red hue that has fascinated skywatchers for centuries. What makes this eclipse particularly special is its duration — the total phase will last around 1 hour and 22 minutes, longer than the eclipse that occurred on March 14 earlier this year.
