The Ohio Is Flooded!

The Ohio River crested today at 42.5 ft. Flood stage here is 40 ft! I have one thing to say .... the worst flood in 10 years = Artifact Heaven :D

The bank that's under water in the 1st pic is being washed as we speak, and it's a known Mississippian site for 400 yards down the bank. You can see the mound in the left side of the pic if you look closely. :wink:

I used my range finder to find the distance to the other bank from where I was standing. 1.2 MILES :o

will it be illegal to hunt downstream for the artifacts?
 

What do you mean by downstream? I'm not aware of anywhere that you can hunt the Ohio River on the river bed. You can hunt the banks, however.
 

I will be hitting those banks hard when the water goes down, there's some good places in Scioto and Ross county along the Ohio.
