This coin was toast...It took 24 hours in the tumbler to clean it. There is still a little caked on stuff from inside the rusted out mint tin it was found in. Neat little coin, IMHO ;D

Frilled lizard

Growing to about a metre in length - most of it tail - is harmless but when cornered presents a gaping, hissing mouth in the middle of its brightly coloured neck frill.

I thought it was the Geico that swallowed an umbrella ::) ;D ;D ;D

Don't they run kinda funny like that.

I'm curious to know what type tumbler you used to clean the coin. Was it a commercial unit, or one you made? Any pics? Thanks.

Just a $24.99 tumbler from Harborfreight.com Looks like they are $29.99 on-line, I got mine on sale in a store.

The only thing I suggest getting with this tumbler is a sewing maching belt, the ones that come with it break after a week ::) ::) ::)

what a cool way to incorporate wildlife into a coin. that has to be one of the neatest coins i've ever seen.
