Some of us like to run bare footed, but most plate our bottom most parts. 90% of the time I wear sneakers or trail hiking shoes with low tops. In nasty snake infested areas, I wear snake proof boots. this started after I got within 4' of a very large timber rattler at Dents Run. I am presently looking for a pair of those neoprene divers "boots" to use on the beach. I thought about this after seeing a needle on the beach. In the house and in the MH it is bedroom slippers. In the old days I remember seeing my great grandmother in high top boots!
