The school that won't give up it's silver

Got out today and hunted a South Bay school that just keeps giving up wheats but no silver
e13994.gif
. I hunted for two hours this morning and found three more wheats . 1941S , 1944S and a 195? . The last number almost looks like it was never there
e13980.gif
. The other old coins were a 1939D and 1952D Jefferson nickels . All the coins were 5 inches or deeper . Where is the silver ! Between me and eagleforce we have found 18 wheats and 5 older Jeffersons , the silver must be deep
e13984.gif
. Also found a junk ring (#109) and $8.21 in clad .

Glen .

My school is coughing up silver rings, 7 to be exact. But only one silver coin, a 1963 Rosie, which I'm pretty sure was still in recent circulation when it was lost. I remain hopefully, many of the recent ring finds come from areas I've reworked after collecting all the easy to find clad (about $60.00 worth).

Good Hunting.

When was the school built? It may not be old enough to have had much silver dropped. Wheat were still fairly common in change in the late 60's but silver, not so much.

This school opened in the 1930's . It's old enough that's for sure .
