Hey guys! Well its been a long and fun day! I arrived at the Veterans Memorial field at 9:45am; iching to do some hunting around the old 1889 railroad depot. After going through that for about 2 hours with nothing to show for except 70 cents in change. I decided to make my way across the sidewalk to the main park of veterans Memorial field where I had been hunting for three times already. I found my 7th key from that park alone. People must sure like to loose there keys everywhere.
Alright so after that signal I see a big bulky tree that looks really old. I think that might have silver within it! So i scan around the tree and about not even halfway I get the first signal. Oh its a 1975 penny. So I keep scanning it and get this dime signal that seems to be nestled near some roots. So i dig and dig and dig. About 2-4 inches down I see a shiny edge! Man I was starting to get really excited here! So i pulled it out and it looked all shiny like silver! I saw the date on the dime! 1950!!!! I then immediatly called my mom to tell her that i scored my first ever silver dime!!!! I also called my dad and they were both very happy for me!
I was so excited I could not stop holding it in my hand just to examine the good looking dime that I had found!
Anyways here are my totals
1950 silver DIME!
2 quarters
2 dimes
1 nickel
9 pennies
I hope everyone had a wonderfull day today! I hunted for three hours...9:45am to 1pm in the rain and it paid off!!!
The SE is getting a little easier as I go along. I also hunt in factor Pre-settings which seem to be working out good for me considering I found a 1950 silver dime!
