I hope the gold was worth it. You guys are crazy. :tongue3:
Did you have to put the dredge back across too?

We don't know yet. Just got to run the dredge for about 2 hrs so far.
The river will be high like this for the next 2 months. We plan to stay on this side for a while and hope to locate a new paystreak.

It was pretty thrilling!

If you guys would have Dodged it, it might have been a bit easier [emoji12]

I strongly suggest that y'all wear flotation vests when crossing
that river...a slip can happen in an instant, and then your buddies
have to go find your carcass that got hung up under a brush pile.

Flotation vests are also way cheaper than funerals. You can still have
a great adventure without risking life and limb... moose.gif

CGC to bad you couldnt leave the rope across the water for your return trip. BRRR I still can imagine the temp of that water.:occasion14:

El Dorado County Sheriff looking for three bodies right now in Camp Creek.

One guy got into trouble the other two tried to help.

Every year this time...every weekend.

Great video!

Note: When crossing a river that reaches your thighs have a sturdy walking stick to place downstream. You'll be amazed at the stability you gain lol.

I've done every dumb thing in the book. Good on you guys for what you're doing! Have fun!

Chuck

Thanks for all of your concern guys!
Swift water can be dangerous and I do not recommend that anyone give this a try.

The man on the dredge was outfitted with a pfd and helmet. I jumped in because I new I could do it and had a sound float out plan if necessary.

ah, just though of this:
Do what you can, while you can
just stay safe so you can keep doing!

Cheers
