THE THREAD OF TRUTHS and nutters

Thanks Thom, I feel a very lucky man to have had twenty years with the Huskies, even though they are difficult dogs they were well 'worth the trouble'. Our pets really do get to be 'members of the family' and are greatly missed when gone.

Thank you to everyone for the kind words and thoughts, it is very much appreciated.

as you know Oro i am a shamanchi we beleive life is part of are beings future and we share this with death willing to give meaning and value to our lifes ... the more you miss her the more it shows how deep you care.... some day you will be standing in a vast sea of darkness and a sunrise before you and just then look down and she will be there waiting to face the next trail with you once again ... friendships never die . we carry them forever....

some times they carry us ......

Oroblancos - I'm terribly sorry to hear of the loss of your little girl - sincerely :(

My wife and I have lost 2 dogs and 2 cats during our marriage and although non-pet owners would scoff at me, those were the 4 worst days of my life!

They certainly do become a big part of your family and for awhile there's a huge hole where they once were.

Everyone has to make the decision for themselves, but after a period of sadness, we've gone out and adopted new animals - not to replace the passed ones (because that would never be possible), but rather because we know in our hearts that there are so many other animals out there that need good homes and we can do our part to help a few. Perhaps the two of you will come to that same conclusion and decide to bring into your family another needed "child" that would benefit greatly from your obviously loving home!

FWIW, I included a link for you when/if you're ready

Best wishes,

You are right Joe, I did say Ruth and then Ruth story. But then you cannot have one with out the other, can you.
Oh me and my words?

Did you know Joe that Adolph Ruth anagrams into
HOLD UP HART
Now I think that I had speculated in my book. That this picture of Homes HOLDING UP Ruth's skull is a treasure map.
Let me see if I can remember exactly?
Oh yea, I believe I said that the hole in the side of skull looks a lot like an upside down
HEART.

Those darn typos
Dan Adams

OK B, you said I needed and E to finish spelling the word heart in the sentence. so how would someone attach an E to that picture. Let see if this would work to help convince you, First we take the name Adolph Ruth and the we put his sons name behind it.
Adolph Ruth Erwin Ruth, it would seem that the first letters of the sons name gives us the missing E. This happening by chance, I don,t think so?

Roy, You ask me If I needed to see some old headstones. Yes Roy, it would take that kind proof, just to prove that these people exested.

B, a death certificate for me, is not proof enough proof. I want to see the old headstones. The paper trail in some of this History may have been made up.

Randy, it would seem that you have put yourself into a kinda of bad spot.
Now let me see if I can remember some of those old post.
Using the same words that some of you guys, put dirticly to the Bowman.
"Put up or Shut up"
So your turn Randy, I want you to tell me yourself, "what graveyard" are these simple to find graves are in.

" Herman Pertrach, his brother, and Adolph Ruth."

Now let see Randy, you said that I have changed that picture to meet my needs, Why don,t you tell that to Helen Corbin, after all she used the exact same picture in The Bible on the Lost Dutchman Gold Mine.
Or maybe she is a liar to?
Open mouth, insert foot!

im trying to figure what "SAD AN MAD" anagrams into
or "SAD MAN D.A"

That it peerless, now you are thinking outside the box?

Dan Adams

but would'nt you all of had more respect if he had just come right out and asked for info, instead of coming with a hidden agenda?
well as far as i can see any of his fans that have followed this thread have seen his lack of knowledge and research laid bare before them, and now have to be questioning his ability to write anything about the LDM

"I will not address the Adolph Ruth comment, because it shows a lack of any real research on your part."

What is needed here, is fewer words from bowman and Seventytwo, not more. The more you write, the deeper you bury yourself.

"Yep. I hate hidden agendas."

It's amazing to me how difficult it is for some people to spot those "hidden agendas". On the other hand, we often tend to overlook someones agenda if they are friends or family.
Guess it goes back to who's ox is being gored, or it's no skin off of my nose.....so who really cares.

There are lots of agendas out there. If anyone is being hurt, it needs to be exposed.
In these two cases, it's pure disrespect, which in the long run is harmful to us all.

Just my personal opinion so I could, of course, be wrong.

Joe Ribaudo

and thats shocking how . LOL what if i am right and i have found the LDM . you drive me away then you hert the site as much as anyone ... who is the judge ,,,... not you ! if you wanted me to leave the site why didnt you just ask me ... this site is nothing speacal to me ... if people wanted prove are you going to give it to them .. i dout it !

i dont know you CJ . i am not sure i would want to ... at this piont you have the agendas by the words you stated ...

if you want to have it out i dont scare at all ....you want to play say so ....i lay something of value on the table but if i do you walk away if i prove i do have prove i have solved the code ...
not one of have a back ground in navigation that i do ... i would think i would be the last person you would want to just walk away .....if you were lost at sea you sure dont want to throw the navigater over broad,,....that would show a lack of wisdom on your part ...

Bowman,

I have no desire to see you leave. I enjoy your posts, as I have said many times. We are all here to speak our minds and I have a habit of doing just that.

If I don't want to read your posts, I will hit the ignore tab. Nothing to stop you from doing the same thing. ;)

Joe Ribaudo

i would not use that for any reason . i just done like being pushed . i know it was the way you were rised but up here its a lets play in the sand box things ...sooner or later the eye get the sand and then the playing gets out of hand .. how bout we try something of value like working on research to help all of you ! ... if that matter at this stage of the game ...sevetytwo is off the wall but i dont walk up and push him for fun ...

lets play did you know ... do you !

what dose the letter R stand for on the trail heart stone ...?

lets step over to the post (the lost dutchman mine 4 pages long .. all of us let put this is a post and take the members to a new level)

lets all go see if this hand plays out the way i think it will ...last one there is a roten egg...LOL

No one wants you to leave that i know of bowman, you are your own worst enemy, you make statements and get questioned, at which point you, instead of backing your claim make another statement, that in turn gets questioned and so it goes on and on and on.
you seem like a reasonably inteligent guy, so why state anything your not prepared to back up?. its obvious you are going to get questioned when you make outrageous claims.
that said i deffinately dont want you leaving, you bring an element of entertainment to proceedings which i enjoy infact this thread has now become my entertainment thread.
keep up the good work bowman but anything you are not prepared to share or answer questions about you should keep to yourself.
does that seem so ridiculous?

Well said Bowman.
It would seem that most of the people posting here do not really care if the Dutchman mine is found or not.
It is like talking to politicians, first this, and then that, always changing the subject without any real answers. Then god for bid you should veer from main stream. Because as soon as you do, your are attacked by a group.
As far as drifting from main stream, you better thank all of the people that think outside of the box, for what you have today. With out them we would just be furry little critters still living in the forest.
lets take the post above, I am actually being accused of having a hidden agenda. The only agenda that I have, is in searching for the truth.
The truth that I have found here on this thread, is there are very few treasure hunter posting on this Lost Dutchman forum.
The Dons Club connection has been made apparent in this thread. I don't really expect the Dons club members to stand up and be accounted for. After all they have their on agenda, being a secret society group and all.
The first trip I took into the superstition mountains with my friend, as we were hiking past Whiskey Spring. We ran into some men coming out of La Barge Canyon. It was an Ice cold morning and raining. The men where dressed in light gear, and I thought it was strange that these men did not have packs. These men were also older men, the one was in his sixty's, the other in his mid fifty's. The older gentlemen said high, and asked where we were headed, so we made small talk with him.
But it was the other one that had my attention, he never spoke. but he looked like he was just going to explode at any second. He had the look of a small child just out side the gates of the circus. he was dancing around and so jittery I thought I was going to shoot him, just to help him keep calm.
After we passed them on the trail, we expected to find their camp. But hiking on into La Barge there was no camp present.
It was a very strange event, and my friend and I talked about them as we hiked on.
Only later after I found the mine, and had established the links to the Dons Club, did realized what that man had seen. He had been shown the Lost Dutchman Gold mine. That why he was so skittish, the olderman was a Don and the younger man had just became a Don.
You Will see some of the people on the this post tear at me for my work on the Lost Dutchman.
Why do you think they dislike my opinion so much?

Dan Adams

Paul thank you for the sentiment and the link, it is too soon right now but I almost can't imagine life without those Huskies around, much less an expedition into 'bar' country. Blindbowman thank you too, I do believe we meet again - ala a certain "Twilight Zone" episode (The Hunt). Anyway yes we will almost certainly have to find another 'member of the family' in the future.

Blindbowman I know the question was not directed at myself, but my best guess is that the "R" on the Peralta stones most likely means "Rio" or "river". Is there another (and better) answer? I really would like to know.

Dan it is not necessary for you to believe that Ruth, Reiney, Waltz etc ever lived, there are plenty of legends around with much less to substantiate them that folks do go out a-hunting for. If it will be helpful to you, for your purposes or for your own research to be able to view the headstones, then by all means make the visits to the various cemetaries. Of course to a skeptic, it is always possible to dismiss headstones too, after all I know of several headstones that mark graves where NO ONE was ever buried, and not connected to any sort of lost treasure story. I know that tidbit is not too helpful in convincing you about Ruth or the others, but keep in mind that other people testified to having known Ruth and the others. The fact that so many people knew and interacted with Ruth, Reiney etc should be at least some level of proof/support that there were such people in the Superstitions, at least known by those names even if they were going by false names. I guess the big question is how much it matters to you, personally, and do you have need of that level of proof for your purposes? If you do, then visiting the graves is worth it, if not, we could argue here for a very long time without being able to "prove" any particular person existed since that virtually cannot be proven over the internet, absolutely.

Adolph Ruth is almost a mystery figure in the whole saga, if you do a little digging into his background you will find that he first searched a region in southern California for some kind of treasure, using a map he had been given by Mexican friends, and there he got hurt that left him somewhat crippled for life. If only he had not spoken of what he was doing there around those folks at the ranch, if only he had not said he has a map, if only he had waited for Tex to return to act as his guide and packer, lots of "ifs" and we might not have such a mystery around him. There is (or was) even a conspiracy theory around Ruth, which who knows perhaps is correct?

Good luck and good hunting to you all, I hope you find the treasures that you seek.

HIO BETH ORO: I just caught the bad news about your family, soo sorry about her, she was a lovely dog (?).

I know exactly how you feel, they become more a part of the family than kiddies at times, perhaps it is because they are completely dependent upon you and give their all physically and emotionally to you with no reservations.

You were privileged in that SHE CHOSE you to live her life with, she could have gone anytime that she wished.

From personal experience, She is still around, but just cannot communicate with you directly, but she will probably manage to let you know in little ways. My poop moved her food dish and her beloved red collar many times. Often we could see her just out of the corner of our eyes.

Her favorite game, not mine, was to pull the sheets off of me or to just lean against the bed, then ungracefully slide down shaking the bed - she definitely was not a lap dog. She continued this for over 3 -4 months then she gradually stopped.

She also loved to just sit by the bed then lean over putting her chin next to me waiting for her chin to be scratched etc.

I guess that she has moved on, however, her food dish and collar remain in the place of honor if she ever decides to return.

There is sharp sorrow and a feeling of an tangible loss, but, at the same time a joy in the past of having shared your lives together. She obviously had a good life, have no regrets, she hasn't.

Remember, in many ways she went in a manner that was a goal for many cultures, to die in combat rather than from a long lingering sickness such as from cancer.

I am sorry that we did not ave our long delayed meeting so that I could have known her. I have a rapport with animals, especially doggies, we would have gotten along just fine.

Allo BETH ORO:

A newly discovered chapter in the Book of Genesis has provided the answer to "Where do pets come from?"

Adam and Eve said, "Lord, when we were in the garden, you walked with us every day. Now we do not see you any more. We are lonesome here, and it is difficult for us to remember how much you love us."

And God said, I will create a companion for you that will be with you and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourselves."

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam and Eve.

And it was a good animal. And God was pleased.

And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and Eve and he wagged his tail.

And Adam said, "Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal."

And God said, " I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG."

And Dog lived with Adam and Eve and was a companion to them and loved them

And they were comforted.

And God was pleased.

And Dog was content and wagged his tail.

After a while, it came to pass that an angel came to the Lord and said, "Lord, Adam and Eve have become filled with pride. They strut and preen like peacocks and they believe they are worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught them that they are loved, but perhaps too well"

And God said, I will create for them a companion who will be with them and who will see them as they are. The companion will remind them of their limitations, so they will know that they are not always worthy of adoration."

And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam and Eve.

And Cat would not obey them. And when Adam and Eve gazed into Cat's eyes, they were reminded that they were not the supreme beings.

And Adam and Eve learned humility.

And they were greatly improved.

And God was pleased.

And Dog was happy.

And Cat didn't give a shit one way or the other.
