Well payback for all the good hunts we have been having will have to wait for now....
Our strategy to cross 'The Hill' Site on our way back and forth to The Track-way Site is working out great. Although its a 30 min.(1 hr round trip), we have been getting some of the better finds from these journey's.
5 hours 15 mins:

5 Scrappies & 1 OK Roman Coin (OTWBTTC)
Tudor Button
One of the more interesting Buttons I have found in awhile - Horse & Cart (wagon) see more details here:
https://twitter.com/RichardSeth3/status/1120406182982758400
My 2nd ever Gun Flint
Saxon Pin-head (on the way to the site)
6th C Saxon Brooch (broken top bit)
Medieval buckle bits
Jetton
Lead Token
OTWBTTC: Cru'dad got the largest Medieval Pilgrim's Ampulla that we have ever had.
OTWBTTC: I got (heading towards the first white stone of the day:laughing7:):
  • Billon Antoninianus of Postumus AD 260-5 with Reverse HERC DEVSONIENSI showing Hercules resting on Club and holding Bow plus Lion’s skin over left arm.
The legend refers to the cult of Hercules at Deuso (modern Deutz) which still forms the Eastern Rhine bridgehead of Cologne where the coin was minted.

Fantastic finds as always! I loooove the ampulla.
Cru'dad had just dug some big scrap lead & he thought this would be more, so a pleasant surprise. No idea why these items turn up OTWBTTC!

Pic 3... top row 3rd item ... ? rosary part ? ? ?

And same picture bottom crusty round ?

Looks like the mother of all pilgrim ampullas. Almost double the size of the ones i know! Great feeling to see a coin minted in my neighborhood!

Congrats on the ampulla, they don't come up often.
I didn't know what it was when I dug one, another guy told me it was a good find.

Small ring thing, as we call them. Function of this smaller type unknown.
I think you mean the Lead Bag Seal (manure)

It is a good find, they normally come out more smashed up than this. (often in pieces)

Great finds, congratulations!

Those are eye candy finds
Nice post
