The wind blew, the dirt flew and silver was through & through

Got out today with my son and my buddy Jeff (AKA Miner812)...We have been researching an area lately and with the weather finally cooperating, hit the fields. I found a few shot mini's and 1799 real, a copper or brass badge with the word "exposition?" on the bottom edge...ID help! and a flat button ended my day...My son made out really well with a 1785 and a 1794 real and a rough copper, Jeff found a silver band diamond ring, a no date real, 2 early coppers, a partial belt buckle, along with a flat button...The wind was relentless, but, we stuck it out and look forward to hitting another section of the property soon.

Wow...I have been searching the web for the badge I found and I found it... It's an 1895 Atlanta, Ga Cotton States & International Exposition Souvenier Badge.. :hello2:...Saweeeet!....Question is....How did it make its way to my area ???...I'm glad I was able to identify it because it puts things in perspective with all the research we have been doing with this site.

1759, not 1799 :) Ferdinand the 6th is on the other side to verify.

Thank you for the correction...I'm not too familiar with reals, any insite on value would be appreciated...my son is eager to know, I did a quick search and got some information on them...

Re: The wind blew, the dirt flew and silver was through & through

awesome finds,,spanish silver is in pretty good shape too...thats one reale good days worth of finds...

Re: The wind blew, the dirt flew and silver was through & through

The 1759 real is worth about $20 in fine condition. The hole does however detract from that value significantly. I could see two mint marks on the 2R coins... 1 was Lima peru and the other was Mexico City. I hope the 1794 is the Mexico City coin, because it has a decent value compared to other years. 1794 2R in fine condition is worth about $75 to $100.
