Thermal imager camera

Yeah, I don't know but i would be firmly in the sceptical camp with this one.. I mean if it works, even in very limited circumstances, then it could be a valuable tool in the arsenal. Archaeology isn't really the same as treasure hunting though, (no matter how much we 'big up' ourselves) archaeological sites can lead to treasure and vice versa, but looking for heat signatures caused by cavities, water , metal contents of rock or other geological or natural processes is not the same as pointing a thermal camera and finding a chest of booty !!
It's normal to be on the skeptical side. Not everyone has to believe you. Some might even say, "You're writing this, but prove it to us."

As I said above, I could post 20-30 links if I wanted to, it's not a problem for me. But I don't want to make everyone rich for free. That's the point. Everyone has to pay a price in life. Becoming rich shouldn't be that easy, right?

To help you understand the logic of the situation without writing any lies, I'll give you an example.

I share information and documents, but sometimes I don't explain them. Post number 10 on this topic is an example. I posted that black and white picture but didn't add any explanation. The minister looked at it and didn't understand what it was.8-)
-------------------------------------------
Now I will explain in detail what that picture is below.

One member wrote this in a thread. They explained that they worked in the army and used to locate landmines with a camera.
But she couldn't provide any pictures or documents.

Yes I have looked for metallic surface targets using IR sensors on many different types of platforms. We had a multimillion dollar program to do this when I worked for the Army. We also used multispectral and hyperspectral cameras to detect disturbed soil over land mines.

The image I provided is an original photo from tests your army conducted in the 2000s to detect landmines. The image clearly shows what's happening.

I have a lot of information and documents.
But we only give information to those who deserve it.

A landmine just buried under the surface is a practical application for thermal imaging. But...

History buffs using the cameras, which can scan objects as deep as 25 feet underground
...something buried 25 feet is not. Thermal imaging can distinguish different soil compaction, for example, where a hole was backfilled, but it won't detect the item buried in the hole unless it is near the surface.

The landmine incident is true. Mines are usually buried at depths of around 10-20-30 cm.

In 2009, I had a high-end thermal camera. In one area of our country, we detected 15 silver coins at a depth of approximately 30-40 cm.

The newspaper article says they've located the graves you mentioned, which were buried during the civil war, at a depth of approximately 7.5 meters.

I'm not commenting because I wasn't there and I don't know what kind of thermal camera they used or the terrain. But there are people in the USA who have done research and obtained many patents. One of these patent documents states that it can detect objects up to 20 times the diameter of the object being sought in the soil. To be objective, if there were a small container, similar to a truck wheel, about 1 meter in diameter buried in the soil, it seems like it could detect something 20 meters deep.

This sounds absurd to me. But I can confidently say this: Thermal cameras can detect large masses buried at depths of 2-3 meters, depending on the soil structure. However, the conditions can vary depending on the buried material and the formations in the soil. These cameras also detect signs of solar radiation. Some people don't understand that there are harmful rays from the sun. These rays are also present in people with skin cancer. So, how deep do these rays penetrate the soil? Low-level gamma rays are also mentioned.

The rays that penetrate the soil, the camera logically captures the entire soil in its image, but if there is an object there that is different from the soil structure, the camera technically shows it separately on the screen. That's how we understand the difference.

If anyone understands, I can send a picture. This is a drawing of a document that was patented in the USA. It explains the situation.

Ok,, so maybe you can find things on, or very near, the surface in certain conditions.. I am imagining precious metals absorbing daytime heat in a different way from the surrounding soil/vegetation, then releasing it during the evening or night therefore giving off a heat signature that a thermal camera can detect. This is what I was referring to in my earlier post when I mentioned possible effectiveness limited circumstances..
Is this the information that we are not expected to have without paying you for ?.
I mean this community is all about sharing, we are here to discuss and encourage each other to get out there and have some fun...
Asking, indirectly, for folks to 'pay the price' for the knowledge just seems to be far away from how most people operate on this forum.. I don't speak for everyone , I know that.
Thermal imaging is not magic, and solely detects heat. It therefore could have limited scope in detecting objects in the scenario mentioned in this post. How can there be anything more to this ??

Here's what you don't understand.
1- As you said, you're buying a simple thermal camera.
2- You say the ground is emitting heat and the camera detects it.
3- You already understood that. You solved the problem.
4- Did I send you the money? Did I ask you for money?
5- I'm giving you information about the system.
6- Read my messages carefully. What does the person who wrote above say? They say they bought a phone holder model and detected dog feces in the garden.
7- So what will I say in my writings? Understand this part well: Don't spend money on simple cameras. If you do, you won't find anything.
8- As your friend wrote, you will only find dog feces there.
9- In short, if you are using a detector, stick with one of the Garrett, Minelab, or Nokta brands.
10- Since you've already figured out the camera issue, this is the camera the other person was talking about.
11-You can also buy that one and try your luck, it's very cheap. 249 USD
12-Good luck to you.

That drawing presents a different process that I expect most are envisioning. I suspect most think that the idea is you take a photo with the thermal camera and somehow infer from that what's underground. But that isn't what the drawing provided is describing. It is describing taking thermal readings of the same "suitable" location at different times and then comparing the changes in heat retention to identify underground items. So not an image, more like a comparative analysis of multiple images.

Robertk.
1- The image I attached is just one of the US patent information documents.
2- You've more or less understood the logic of the situation.
3- As you said, some members who commented on the topic want to point a camera at the ground and get immediate results.
4-Some will think it would be even better if the camera cost $100.
5- As I wrote in previous messages, mid-range cameras are around $4,000.
6- High-end cameras are around $8,000.
7-Now some will say, "These are too expensive."
8-Yes, they are expensive, but the thing is, you stand somewhere, watch the surrounding area of 500-900 meters with a camera, then identify the target, and which device finds the exact point?
9-That's what the camera does. You walk from the identified point to the target and find the exact point.
10-I'm writing this because that's how I use it.
11-Target identification is done this way.
12- There are some extra methods, but we'll write about them later.

HMMM ?? So your from the Turkish Republic and your trying to promote the use of IR Camaras to find treasure .......... Back when I was working (20 years ago)we had a I.R. Camara to check hot spots on our electrical equipment , It worked to help locate hot spots so we could fix it before it went out ! It was definitely a hi end camara . It was so good at what it did that when a certain employee quits and move to another state , that camara also turned up missing ! HMMM But this idea of checking for warm /hot spots to locate metal is a OLD SUBJECT ! 20 years ago it was stated that using a hi end hand held thermal imaging device with many 16 points of (???) would show you where to look for cave openings and possible metal objects close to the surface . These were used at just after sunset to capture the radiation heat that heated up the area or the warmer air that came out of a cave over the surrounding land around the cave opening..... Back in the day these ran under $1000. and were probly about $6 to $800. each . NOT as good as a Thermal Camara but back in the day a pretty neat tool. So I'm not saying these don't work BUT your intentions here ! The "information" is out there for anyone to take advantage of for free all they have to do is GOOGLE IT !

I completely agree. Searching on Google is allowed.
If they search correctly, some will get results.
But many members writing on other topics are out of touch with reality. Because there are also those who say they did some research and couldn't find any results, unfortunately. Note this down too.8-)

What you have stated above is what is known as drivel....
I don't need bullet points to point out that the whole text above is incoherent. You have used 12 statements to say one thing, buy an expensive thermal imaging camera.

Buy whatever suits you. I'm not going to argue with you. Do whatever you want. Or, as you mentioned in your profile, you use 3 detectors; continue with those. 8-)

My intention is not to argue with you either. Something just feels off with your approach to the whole subject.
I'm out ...

Thermal, just so we are on same page abour our rules on selling, you can not offer information, tips, or help for a fee, unless you are a supporting vendor, it violates our rules.

If we get reports from members that any member is selling information or offering to sell via PM, and they are not a supporting vendor the thread will be locked and/or deleted depending on thread.

To be objective, if there were a small container, similar to a truck wheel, about 1 meter in diameter buried in the soil, it seems like it could detect something 20 meters deep.
It could not detect the wheel itself. At best, for something that deep it could detect the differential heating of the disturbed soil.

Thermal cameras can detect large masses buried at depths of 2-3 meters, depending on the soil structure. ... These cameras also detect signs of solar radiation.
It is entirely IR energy from sunlight that is heating the soil. The IR itself only penetrates the soil a few mm, but conduction and convection can carry the heat deeper into the soil. Usually only a few 10s of cm during the daily heat cycle. Something buried shallow enough (say, a landmine) can alter the absorption rate and show up. But deeper targets cannot.

@Treasure_Hunter

This happened in 2020 as well. I wrote about it then too. I think you don't follow President Donald Trump's statements or news at all. He says he's going to make America great. He says he's going to make it a crypto capital.
Doesn't the site owner even consider opening an account on a cryptocurrency exchange in America?
When opening an account on a crypto exchange, it's free; they only require you to link your bank account. They also need to verify your identity.

After that, you leave aside the traditional postal transfer process. You choose one of the coin addresses listed on the exchange.

For example, if you give your Dogecoin address to the person who will deposit money, and that person sends Dogecoin worth 20 USD, or even 21 USD, you can instantly exchange it on an exchange and withdraw the money to your bank account. This process takes a maximum of 5-10 minutes.

In 2020, I told the moderator, "Give me an address and I'll send it to you."
It's 2026 now, and the same things are still happening.
Don't worry, don't think we don't have money. I don't want to do free work for anyone. I'll adapt to whatever the conditions are.
It's even possible to access stock exchanges from mobile devices now.
How else can I send you that 20 USD from this country? Just do the process I suggested. Don't worry, the world is already going digital. Transfers only take 5-10 minutes.
You open the account and message me about which coin it is. I'll send you 22 USD instead of 20 USD.
Here, I'll send you a picture from my own stock exchange, and you can decide whether I can send it or not.The balances are showing up, I think.

To understand my good intentions, please read message number 5 on this topic. I wrote, "Give me your address, and I'll send you coins worth $23 at that time."

I answered your pm.....

Sir, purpose of forum is to help members, with charter membership members can sell products such as detectors, equipment, books ect, but if I read it right you are wanting to charge for information and tips, that cant be done as CM or supporting vendor, it would have to be in a book format, I am sorrry, cant sell information piecemeal.

Owners don't currently do crypto, we have members in Europe, they sent payment from Europe with no problem. Turkey uses charge cards, and you could use Western Union, both work.

Just go get a credit card. Takes 30 seconds to pay for the charter membership.
I don't live in the USA and it still processes the transaction in 30 seconds.
5-10 minutes for a crypto.🤣
We still live in the real world.
