I was just poking fun... really i dont know about any fees related to "unplugging" from grid.We get a surcharge fee, usage fee, rural fee.
I built a shop 9 yrs ago.
Even if I didn't use any power the bill would be $80+ a month.
So when I need power I start the generator up.
Savings from not hooking to the grid $8000+.
Oh I have wanted it a few times.
But not that bad.

He told them to disconnect the line, take the meter.
