Thimbles

A few months ago, I found a couple of crushed thimbles. Talking to my friend Kevin, he told me that he could restore them. So I gave them to him and look at the excellent job he did.

They look great. I used to think early on in the early 90s, whats with all these thimbles I find!? But too I have found many buttons from the same goldfields era. My conclusion. 1 the thread was garbage. 2 it was the goldfields and fights ensued over gold with buttons flying in every direction. 3 there was not great hygiene or water and...... Long johns had to get quickly removed for............

They look great. 👍 Recovered the detail perfectly.

They came out great. Do you just put a wooden dowel in them to restore them?
