My Son,who was 6 at the time was watching a show on TV about the Universe,
the Experts were saying it was Billions of years old,He looked at me and said
Papa, how do they know that, were they there?

Funny how kids think till they get to public school,oh ya,He quit school, went to night school
and graduated with full honors ONE year ahead of His class.

He still sees the world CRAZY!!!!!!!

GOD Bless

Well, first you would have to educate yourself about the dating process they employ to arrive at that number for the age of the universe. Is that something you are willing to learn? And the fact a six year old child doesn't understand abstract adult concepts is really no indication of anything at all. It takes adults many years of specialized education to pull that off.

Is that anything like carbon 14 dating?I believe it shows a LIVE mollusk to be 14,00 years old.

GOD Bless

There is a known amount of inacuracy in the process but that information is taken into consideration when calculating age. Additionally, that is why the process is typically used to date VERY old objects when he accuracy of 1000 years or so becomes less important.

I carbon dated a large deer antler my dogs drug home last week. It was 6.5 years old... and then I saw a single antlered deer this week. I'd like to give it back. I documented everything.

Worldtalker is right.... you must think for yourself and not follow the "herd".

One excellent example of anecdotal evidence is this:

I was out rabbit hunting and wounded one of the critters. I saw him drop down into a rabbit hole so I reached in behind him to try to pull him out.

In the process, something with two long fangs bit me. Anecdotal evidence tells me that I was bitten by a snake because I observe it without any scientific backing but simply accept what my eyes see.

Scientific evidence would say that because rabbits also have teeth, there is a possibility that the rabbit bit me and not a snake. Thus I should thrust my hand into the hole again to grab the rabbit, assuming that the rabbit bit me rather than getting treatment for snakebite ... since the fang marks in my hand are only anecdotal evidence that there is a snake in the rabbit hole.
